A VFD panel from Adgo Controls can be built around drives from leading manufacturers, including Rockwell Automation and Schneider, as well as others. Engineers select the drive that fits your application, specification and existing plant standard best. Some shops try forcing a single brand; however, we offer several OEMs for standardized installation.
The drive brand selection and standardization process shows the struggle between customization and standardization when it comes to servicing versus personalizing equipment:
- Plant standardization matters because matching the new drive to brands already on your floor simplifies spare parts and technician training.
- Application fit drives the choice, from low-horsepower pump duty to high-horsepower process loads.
- Communication compatibility (EtherNet/IP, Modbus) keeps the drive talking to your existing PLC and SCADA.
- If your specification names an approved manufacturer list, then Adgo Controls builds to that list and documents the selection.
Drive selection works best when it is planned with the controls that command it. We coordinate drive and processor choices together, the same way we build our PLC Panels. We can also retrofit legacy drives for equipment that cannot be upgraded, with documentation and support long after the install.
